Models for Voice Loggers

VoIP Line
After the cell phone revolution, now it is the turn of IP phones. They are rapidly becoming a part of our daily life and Xtend's latest product encompasses this technology too. Xtend Voice logger for VoIP Lines is a software based voice logger that snoops on TCP/IP networks to log the audio carried on VoIP connections.

Apart from hardware, Xtend Voice Logging Solution software needs to be loaded to generate the reports and details of logging. For the same, we require an ordinary PC with 2+ GHz processor capability and atleast 80GB hard disk storage space to store the voice logs. Windows XP Professional/2000/2003 Server operating system with a minimum of 512 MB RAM is required for proper functioning of the system. A CD/DVD writer avails to store backups whereas a Network Interface Card serves to access remotely the browser-based interface..

Digital Extension

Digital Extension Voice Logger implements voice recording using a specialised hardware voice logging cards that plugs into the PCI expansion slot of the computer system. The Voice Logger supports digital PBX extensions and requires a powerful computer system to log the number of extension lines. It should be noted that the Voice Logger installed computer system should support full length PCI cards for the purpose of voice logging.

The Digital Extension implements a user-friendly browser interface that displays complete call details like caller/called id, date, time, duration, status etc. The GUI comprises of an advanced audio player that allows the user to select, play and analyse the audio file. The audio file can be compressed to multiple wave formats like GSM/MP3/PCM. Some of the digital PBXs supported by Digital Extension Voice Logger are listed below:

Digital Trunk

As mentioned above, our digital model is flexible enough to log digital trunk lines. Some of the digital PBXs supported by Xtend Voice Logger are enlisted below.

Audio Line

This logger toolkit can be programmed in such a way that it initiates the logging immediately after a keypress. There are 4 ways in which an Xtend logger commences the recording process. They are:

·         Timed Recording:
Logs the audio everyday, especially, during a particular time schedule.
Voice Activated Recording:
Logs the audio when specific voice/words are recognised.
·         Continuous Recording: Logs audio wherever 24x7 logging is needed.
·         Externally triggered Recording: Logs the audio, if and only if an external trigger occurs, such as a switch is turned on.
Just like the other models of Xtend, audio model is a passive logger that does not tamper with the voice quality or the signalling system. Again, no change is required in the existing system configuration to install this model of the logging system.

Standalone Voice Logger

Standalone Voice Logger is a full-fledged, dedicated, rack-mountable logging device with an inherent computing power and storage capability, and consists of all the necessary components to implement voice logging solutions conveniently. Typically a standalone voice logger requires only the necessary power supply, telephone lines to log and an ethernet connection

Supported Communication Technologies
Besides, a combination of all the above mentioned technologies could be integrated in a single Xtend Voice Logger. Even then, the Xtend logging software would treat them as a single unit and retrieve details and generate reports in a single user interface. This user interface could also be configured on any logger device depending on the requirement, if multiple Standalone loggers are to be installed.
Just like the other models of Xtend, standalone model is a passive logger that does not tamper with the voice quality or the signalling system. Again, no change is required in the existing system configuration to install this model of the logging system. To take only analog or/and audio data, a Standalone 3U box is used where multiples of 4-ports can be supported.
Audio Line can be utilised wherever continuous audio recording is required. The logger logs the analog audio signals from any equipment connected to it as 'line-in'. Xtend provides USB-based Audio Logger in 1/2/4/8/12/16 upto 128 ports and more.
Digital Trunk lets you record details of calls on E1/T1 (ISDN PRI / R2MF) lines. In essence, these are voice card based loggers that integrates well with the products of PIKA, Ai-logix, Synway and Eicon / Dialogic Diva Server.
Xtend provides support for the VoIP protocols SIP, H.323, CISCO Skinny besides Skype and also blends well in an IP-based PBX. The user friendly web interface provided with the software, assists the user to specify conditions and generate appropriate reports according to his/her requirements.
Just like the other models of Xtend, IP model is a passive logger that does not tamper with the voice quality or the signalling system. Now, Xtend offers the facility to log calls via Skype and the voice cards manufactured by Ai-Logix. Again, no change is required in the existing system configuration to install this model of the logging system.
